About Us
The World Amateur Baseball Association was developed to offer baseball opportunities to amateur athletes who aspire to develop skills and experience through participation in tournaments, camps, clinics and showcases. We have been involved in developing baseball players for 33 years and are known and respected by college coaches and professional baseball scouts across the country. We look forward to hosting you in our events.
Host Community
Polk County will serve as the host for the 2008 World Amateur Baseball Association Tournament. Boasting world class facilities and accomodations, Polk County is not only well-suited for competition, but also for dining, recreation and entertainment. Polk County currently hosts over two dozen amateur baseball events each year, providing the experience to ensure that your experience is truly one-of-a-kind.
Polk County is the home of two Major League Baseball Spring Training facilities. The Chain of Lakes Complex in Winter Haven serves as the Spring Training home for the Cleveland Indians, as well as the Gulf Coast League Indians, and hosts numerous other events including the FCCAA Baseball Championships and the NAIA Region 14 Championships. The Chain of Lakes Complex features six Major League playing fields, including the Chain of Lakes Stadium. TigerTown in Lakeland is the Spring Training home for the 2006 American League Champion Detroit Tigers, as well as the Florida State League’s Lakeland Flying Tigers, with six Major League playing fields, including Joker Marchant Stadium which is shown below.
